Heliatek appoints Guido van Tartwijk as CEO

Guido van Tartwijk succeeds Thibaud Le Séguillon who left Heliatek in July 2018

Heliatek has announced with effect from 1 November 2018, Guido van Tartwijk has become the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Heliatek GmbH. He succeeds Thibaud Le Séguillon, who left Heliatek in July 2018. Together with CFO Jan Kiel, who has been with Heliatek since July, he forms the new dual management team of the Dresden-based company.

Heliatek is currently in the process of setting up series production. Together with CFO Jan Kiel, Guido van Tartwijk will be responsible for the associated structural change and strategic orientation. Heliatek's goal is to become a global leader in the implementation of CO2-free and sustainable energy generation.

Background: Guido van Tartwijk holds PhD and MSc degrees in theoretical physics and has amassed extensive experience in the lighting and semiconductors industries. In the first six years of his career, he worked for major as well as start-up companies in telecommunications, both in the Netherlands and the USA. During the subsequent fifteen years, he held a variety of top management positions across the globe at leading LED IoT Lighting companies - Philips Lighting, including 10 years in China. Most recently he was CEO of Tridonic GmbH.

As a technology leader in organic electronics, Heliatek develops, produces and distributes large-area organic solar films. Their business model is the supply of tailor-made solar film HeliaFilm to construction area partners and the building materials industry, for integration in façade or roof system elements. The stand-alone version HeliaSol targets the renovation market, and can be easily applied to existing building exteriors.
