Sumitomo Chemical announces flexible OLED lighting fixtures

Sumitomo Chemical will exhibit its newly-designed OLED fixtures, co-developed with lighting fixture manufacturers, at the forthcoming Light&Building in Frankfurt

Sumitomo Chemical has announced they will be exhibitin gthe latest OLED light fixtures at the forthcoming "Light+Building 2018" held in Frankfurt, Germany, from March 18 to March 23, 2018.

Sumitomo Chemical is honoured to welcome the world renowned Japanese lighting designer Motoko Ishii as the art director for the exhibit at its booth as well as OLED chandeliers design.

Sumitomo Chemical’s OLED chandeliers, named "OLED COSMOS", "OLED MINORI" and "OLED IRODORI" will beused to create a space that aims to provide a "fantastical and gorgeous atmosphere."

Along with the OLED chandeliers, Sumitomo Chemical will exhibit its newly-designed OLED fixtures, co-developed with lighting fixture manufacturers, at the trade fair.

Furthermore, in addition to new products that take full advantage of features unique to Sumitomo Chemical OLEDs, such as thinness and glare-less surface emission, the Company also plans to exhibit lighting fixtures using Sumitomo Chemical's flexible OLEDs.

Through its exhibit at "Light+Building 2018" Sumitomo Chemical aims to expand its OLED lighting business, seeing it adopted for applications beyond lighting fixtures, such as architectural materials, furniture, and store fixtures.
