Royole secures US$ 80 million in series pre-D funding with US$ 3 billion valuation

The new round of funding will help the company invest more resources into research and development, production, sales, and other fields in order to accelerate its growth

Royole Corp. has announced they have received US$ 80 million (approximately) in series Pre-D funding from Warmsun Holding Group. The company now has a market valuation of approximately US$ 3 billion B, which according to Royole makes them one of "world's" fastest-growing technology start-ups.

The new round of funding will help the company invest more resources into research and development, production, sales, and other fields in order to accelerate its growth.

During the period 2012-2015, Royole said it had raised US$ ~200 million up to Series-C round of funding.

According to Royole by utilising "proprietary" flexible electronics technologies, Royole creates and manufactures the most advanced flexible displays, flexible sensors, and smart device electronics.

The company also states that it can provide IP licenses, services, and solutions for a variety of industries associated with display and flexible electronics applications. They state they have accrued over 500 patents (issued and pending) and know-hows on materials, processes, devices, circuits, software, and product design.

Royole was founded by Stanford engineering graduates in 2012.
