The Centre for Organic and Printed Electronics - Hellas (COPE-H) was officially opened during the recently held 8th Workshop of COPE-H titled "Boosting the Organic and Printed Electronics Industry in Greece" which was attended by participation from Academia, Industry and regional and national government.
According the announcement COPE-H is a unique and state-of-art facility located close to the Thessaloniki Macedonia Airport, and it focuses on the Research & Manufacturing of OE devices for applications in Energy, Lighting, Electronics, NanoBioMed, Smart Textiles & Food Packaging, Greenhouses, for example.
The Workshop started with tours of the participants and the Inauguration of the newly founded Center for Organic and Printed Electronics – Hellas (COPE-H), which is an initiate of LTFN Lab of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece.
The COPE-H facility has an area of 2000 m2 (clean rooms: 600 m2) and its facilities include the following pieces of equipment:
- R2R Pilot & Production Line for Fabrication Large Area OEs
- Organic Vapour Phase Deposition (OVPD) Pilot Line
- S2S Pilot Line for OE Devices
- CVD Pilot Line for Graphene on 6" Substrates
- Slot Die, Ink-Jet Printer Systems for OE Devices
- In-line Pulsed Laser & Metrology Technologies
HOPE-A and JAPEC sign cooperation agreement
During the workshop the Hellenic Organic & Printed Electronics Association (HOPE-A) and the JAPEC (Japan Advanced Printed Electronics Consortium) signed a cooperation agreement that aims to open the way for effective collaboration, new cooperation opportunities, and mutual promotion of innovation activities between the HOPE-A and JAPEC members.
