There are reports that Huawei has released details about its upcoming Huawei Watch, with the device set to be released in September and including a full circle AMOLED display.

The Huawei Watch will be released in three colours, including silver, black and gold. It will also include a 400 by 400 pixel display, equating to 286ppi.

The device will also come with a Sapphire crystal glass panel, to be used as protection for the screen. The device will include wireless charging capabilities and can be charged using the cradle that will come with the device.

The Huawei Smartwatch details:

  • Qualcomm APQ8026 1.2 GHz processor
  • 4 GB of storage, plenty for most smartphone apps
  • Bluetooth 4.0/4.1 connectivity - no wifi
  • Sensors include a gyroscope, accelerometer and barometer, as well as a vibration motor

  • Water-resistant - but not waterproof
  • Built-in microphone
  • 300 mAh battery, USB cable and power adaptor

Initially the price of the watch will be US$349 for the cheapest leather model - this is on par with other Android watches - however the US$799 rose-gold plated steel case with metal bracelet follows a similar pricing strategy established by Apple.
