According to a news report on the Digitimes website LG Display expects to mass produce OLED displays for use in broadcast-type monitors in 2016

The segment is expected to have a higher profit margin for the company, which the reports say Samsung Display is also considering pursuing.

More recently, there has been further reports that 4K OLED TV panels sized 65- and 77-inch have now reached 65% yields and are climbing while Full HD OLED units are now over 80%. The article went on to say that it is believed that LG Display yields will be 85% and over by the end of 2015, meeting its aim to reach 80% - 90% in late 2015/early2016.

Further news suggests that LG Display is also adopting inkjet printing technology for producing OLED TV panels at its M2 facilities, which it says will greatly reduce costs and increase yields for the technology.
